Yes, a lot of last min work like printing of signs and banners etc, but THANK GOD Nick was so kind to help "donate" his place to host our event. What would we do without him?
The thing was that on Friday night (day before event), we got a huge scare because the RSVP list had grown so much (thanks guys!!) that we had to rebake another batch of cupcakes!!! I had to rush to Cold Storage to pick up bananas for the banana muffins and lo and behold -- there were no RIPE bananas!
Which was a HUGE bummer because if the bananas aren't ripe, the muffin mixture will be way to starchy! And as expected, haha we added tons of maple syrup and icing sugar to mask the taste! (NOW U KNOW!) But don't worry, with Nikki's high standards of hygiene and quality, no humans were harmed in the process! (hehehe...)
Anyway, do u guys know that Nikki fainted on Friday evening out of exhausion??? The poor girl has been working way too hard and juggling too many things, she fainted on the MRT and her dear bf had to pick her up!!! I felt bad for "overworking" her, but I guess we had too much at stake already to stop! :p
Anyway, I'm ranting.... back to the point.
